A structured conversation

The Pressure Test™

A conversation about how you lead when the pressure is on.

The idea

Look at what pressure is revealing

In this work, the Pressure Test is a structured conversation about how you lead when pressure is on. It gives us a way to look at the situations already in front of you, and at what happens to your judgement when stress rises.

It is not a question set you complete alone, and it is not a score or a report. The purpose is a focused, reflective and objective conversation that gives you insight into your own choices.

What we can explore

The situations leaders are already facing

  • Different situations. The leadership style a situation may call for, and how you adjust without losing yourself.
  • Difficult conversations. Communication around conflict, especially when avoiding it feels easier.
  • Accountability. The confidence to hold people to account, and the support leaders need to make decisions others will back.
  • Engagement. Why accountability is a common struggle, and how greater accountability can raise engagement.

What you can take from it

A clearer view of your own leadership

We can make space to notice the thoughts that help or hinder you in the moment, the choices you make under stress, and the conversations you may be holding back from.

From there, you can consider what your judgement is telling you, what the situation needs, and what kind of leader you want to be in it. The work stays grounded in your experience rather than a label or a formula.
